Since the announcement of our limited edition series of historic Saratoga racing postcards (and sticker) that is available here on Etsy.com, we have some new developments to report.

First, if you missed the update on our original post, our “Saratoga Horse Racing History: The John Morrissey Years, 1863–1877” gifts have found a brick-and-mortar retail home at The Dark Horse Mercantile, located at 445 Broadway in Saratoga Springs. Find all items there while visiting the former stomping grounds of “Old Smoke” Morrissey in upstate New York.

Second, local magazine Saratoga Living included the blurb “Mail Enhancement” about the series in its Saratoga Living After Hours email blast on July 22nd–we provided the photo (above) that was taken during Saratoga opening week at The Adelphi Hotel on Broadway, where Morrissey passed away on May 1, 1878.
